SAN JOSE PROPOSED MASTER PLAN: THE SAN JOSE GREEN CORRIDOR AND THE SPARTAN SUPERWAY

SAN JOSE PROPOSED MASTER PLAN
The proposed Master Plan for San Jose  includes the integration of two important elements that create a solid integrated infrastructure . Our Master Plan group proposed the San Jose Green Corridor connecting different neighborhoods of the site  The image below shows the figure ground of our site and the relationship between existing structures.

As our group studied the overall site, we decided to chose different sites for future development according to location. We decided that every site would have a specific building use. The image below shows the San Jose city zoning ordinance map in relationship to our proposed sites and their uses

Our Group decided to integrate the Green Corridor and the Spartan Superway. We are proposing to connect downtown San Jose to the neighborhoods in our site. The Spartan Superway, colored in green, will go around the site offering residents of the residential zoning and students the opportunity to interact with the green spaces in the Green Corridor and its different amenities. Furthermore, people will also be able to transport in different directions thanks to the Spartan Superway without having to walk long distances. The colored blue line represents the Spartan Superway paths accordingly to the integration of the Green Corridor.

The image below shows a rendering of the Green corridor.
